The treatment process reflects the range of clinical factors that can affect IVF timing and planning, including age, ovarian reserve, sperm health, medical history, genetic needs, and previous fertility treatment. The model uses testing and ongoing monitoring to guide decisions as patients progress through individual stages of an IVF cycle.

Initial treatment planning includes review of medical and reproductive history and may incorporate hormone testing, ultrasound evaluation, Male reproductive sample analysis, genetic screening, and uterine assessment. Embryo grading and preimplantation genetic testing may also be incorporated in applicable cases.

Transfer planning is structured around clinical findings, embryo development, hormone levels, uterine lining, genetic testing, and patient health. A fresh embryo transfer may occur several days after retrieval, while frozen embryo transfer takes place during a later menstrual cycle using natural, modified natural, or medicated preparation protocols.

On transfer day, embryo information is confirmed before a thin catheter is guided through the cervix and the embryo is placed into the uterus under ultrasound guidance. Medication and monitoring continue according to the established treatment protocol, with pregnancy testing generally performed after the transfer stage.
