The Reading Glass Books is pleased to present illustration artist and author Jamaal Lee at the London Book Fair 2026 on March 10-12, where he will introduce his debut graphic science-fiction novel, “Yates: Volume One,” to an international audience of readers and industry professionals.
Lee, an illustration artist from Elizabeth, New Jersey, known for his vibrant coloring and abstract designs influenced by animation and fine art, brings his original character to life in a richly imagined universe. “Yates: Volume One” blends coming-of-age themes with sci-fi adventure, following a young boy's search for belonging amid interstellar conflict and emotional loss.
Set on the alien planet Solar Moon, the story centers on twelve-year-old Zion, whose life changes after he discovers Yates, a damaged cyborg with no memory of his human past. As Zion, Yates, and a mysterious pilot named Tamera cross paths, their shared grief and hopes collide with powerful forces that threaten their freedom and the fate of the galaxy.
Through the London Book Fair exhibit of The Reading Glass Books, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with Lee and explore a visually striking story that balances action, emotion, and imagination. This book launch invites readers to discover a new sci-fi world shaped by friendship, resilience, and the question of what it truly means to be human.
