DARTMOUTH, NS, March 24, 2026 /CNW/ - Media are invited to an embargoed technical briefing being held by Fisheries and Oceans Canada officials, during which they will share details of the forthcoming 2026 elver fishing season

Registration: Media wishing to attend the technical briefing should email Media.MaritimesRegion@dfo-mpo.gc.ca to confirm attendance. 

Embargo Terms: By participating, media understand and agree to the terms of the embargo. The embargo on the technical briefing will remain in effect until the issuance of the news release on Canada.ca. Participants will not publicly discuss or release the materials or information in any manner until the embargo is lifted.

The technical briefing will be for attribution. Should the terms of the embargo be breached, participants and/or their organizations may not be permitted to participate in future Government of Canada embargoed briefings.
